Dynamic simulation of water distribution systems

B. Coulbeck

Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM), 1980, vol. 22, issue 3, 222-230

Abstract: A review of full scale simulation of water distribution systems is made which reveals the computational problems associated with on-line applications. The paper then presents a generalised method for obtaining simplified dynamic models of complex water supply systems. The models obtained have been shown to be suitable for evaluation of and use in computer controlled operations. Validation tests have been performed on a typical water distribution system and the predicted results shown to give close agreement with measured data.
