Abstract:
Distributed-parameter systems have infinite dimensional states and hence, in practical observer and control design applications, the problem of approximate finite-dimensional state reconstruction arises. In this paper a useful approach for implementing such an approximation is presented, which makes use of double Walsh series expansions and is based on finited output measurements at a specified set of spatial points.
