Abstract:
The application of Z-transform transfer function models to the identification of crude steel (blast furnace iron) production systems is considered. A feedback approach has been proposed, in that the desired output by the planners in the steel industry has been used to close the loop. A direct identification method has been developed and used to forecast the blast furnace iron production in the United Kingdom.
