Abstract:
A review of the important considerations necessary in modelling the dynamic response of tension-leg platforms to environmental loading is made in this paper. Techniques for simulating wind and wave forces are suggested and a sample study conducted to demonstrate the importance of wind loading effects for an adopted TLP configuration.
