Abstract:
In the present paper a vertically integrated coastal zone numerical model has been described for the simulation of storm surges and associated coastal inundation in Bangladesh. The model is a generalization of the earlier study [3] in which the fixed side-wall lateral boundary condition along the coast of Bangladesh has been replaced by a continuously deforming fluid boundary and includes the coastal topography in order to route the storm surges over the land.
