Simulation of the sea- and land-breezes in Athens

Nicolas Moussiopoulos

Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM), 1986, vol. 28, issue 6, 473-478

Abstract: This paper deals with the application of a physically complete land–sea–air boundary layer model for the simulation of flow field and pollutant transport over the Athens basin. As a first approach, a two–dimensional simulation of the tidal air movements in Athens has been performed. Simulation results are presented, discussed and compared with available measurements.
