Presenting models in plain english

P.R. Benyon

Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM), 1988, vol. 30, issue 1, 17-25

Abstract: A method of documenting simulation models in a form designed to suit the needs of those having little knowledge of mathematics or computer jargon is described. Extracts are included of such documentation for two models, one relating to energy, the other forestry. In each case the description won favourable comment from the intended audience. By exposing models to criticism from a broader range of people this style of presentation can lead to a better and more acceptable model.
