Statistical distribution modelling: Function, methods and application to air quality management

Bai Jun, A.j Jakeman and J.a Taylor

Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM), 1988, vol. 30, issue 1, 3-9

Abstract: The function of statistical distribution modelling is presented including its advantages and limitations. A simple framework is provided to indicate how methods of distribution identification and parameter estimation can be chosen. The application of air quality management is used to demonstrate these points.
