I.A. Uzhastov

Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM), 1991, vol. 33, issue 4, 331-338

Abstract: This paper contains formalized models which provide determining the expediency of DDB (distributed databases) designing for the considered set of users, designing of external model of users' subject scope and of the generalized external model (GEM) of DDBs, normalization of GEMs, obtaining canonical structures and synthesis optimal logical structures of DDB, local databases and network cataloques. The paper also considers models for DDB reorganization.
