Abstract:
The paper is concerned with the simulation of two-dimensional weakly correlated fields and their use in vehicle dynamics. Necessary definitions and a limit theorem of the theory of weakly correlated fields are given. The derived simulation method and its integration by linear functionals permits the approximation of a large variety of random fields. Starting from spectral densities of correlation functions, respectively, used for road surfaces such an approximation is shown for the mathematical simulation of them including the simulation of the velocity and acceleration. As an example for technological applications the numerical simulation of a model of vehicle dynamics is presented. Several examples show the efficiency of the given methods.
