Abstract:
Basic problems in real-time simulation of electromagnetic transients on power transmission lines using parallel processors are studied. The computation and communication capacities of the parallel DSP TMS320C40 in real-time simulation of power networks are evaluated. An application example is presented in which two C40s are used to simulate in real-time a small network including generator, transmission line, and load.
