Abstract:
This paper reports the effects of an external white noise on a reversible Brusselator reaction scheme exhibiting oscillatory behavior. The governing equations are resolved into respective tangential and normal components along the limit cycle, and using rotating coordinate transformations we have studied the effects of noise in these directions separately. The results indicate diffusive broadening of limit cycle in presence of noise in certain regions in phase space.
