The focusing nonlinear Schrödinger equation: Effect of the coupling to a low frequency field

C. Sulem and P.L. Sulem

Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM), 1997, vol. 43, issue 1, 57-66

Abstract: The main properties of the focusing nonlinear Schrödinger equation for a multidimensional wavepacket envelop are reviewed. The coupling to a mean field or to low frequency acoustic waves stirred by the wavepacket is analyzed.
