Abstract:
Process control and principal component analysis of yeast fed-batch production is based on a computer model. The model is derived from intracellular reaction rates of key metabolic reactions during diauxillary growth, overall mass balances in reactor, and the PI regulation of the secondary product concentration. Principal components of the process matrix are evaluated by use of the QR algorithm. The results are discussed in view of process modelling, monitoring and adaptive control by a neural network model.
