Information losses in decoupling space harmonics effects for an induction drive

Cyrille Cheny and Jean-Marie Kauffmann

Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM), 1998, vol. 46, issue 3, 361-372

Abstract: As soon as space harmonics are taken into account in induction machine model, the magnetic flux becomes a non linear term in regards to time and electrical angle. So superposition principle must be used carefully and decoupling space harmonics effects can lead to information losses.
