Abstract:
The block-diagonalization of a large scale system requires the resolutions of Riccati and Lyapunov equations. The first one which is a nonlinear equation, is solved iteratively. This paper deals with an adapted representation for a particular class of dynamic systems, which leads to an improvement in the convergence of the iterative procedure. As an illustration, we apply our method to electric machine systems. Then, the convergence is studied in detail. It is shown that such convergence is ensured under certain conditions of machine inertia.
