Abstract:
The transmission properties of X-ray in a straight capillary were studied by computer simulation with the Ray-Tracing program SHADOW. The simulation was done for 30keV photons in a SiO2 capillary with perfect smooth inner surface. The simulation indicates an effect collimation of X-rays by the capillary with a well-aligned point X-ray source. The diameter and length of capillary were found to have minor effect on transmission properties.
