Abstract:
Ray-tracing program SHADOW was used to simulate X-ray propagation in capillaries with cylindrical, tapered and polynomial profiles. The results indicate efficient concentration of X-ray beams by all of these capillaries. The influences on transmission properties from geometry parameters of capillary and its relative positions to a point X-ray source were investigated. The simulation demonstrates major effect on imaging and transmission functions from capillary–source relative positions.
