Space-filling curves in adaptive curvilinear coordinates for computer numerically controlled five-axis machining

S.S. Makhanov

Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM), 2009, vol. 79, issue 8, 2385-2402

Abstract: The paper presents a concatenation of two methods for optimization of five-axis machining proposed earlier by the author. The first method is based on the grid generation techniques whereas the second method exploits the space filling curve technologies. Combination of the two techniques is superior with regard to the conventional methods and with regard to the case when the two methods are applied independently.
