Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM), 2010, vol. 81, issue 2, 340-353

Abstract: The detailed simulation method for brush motor is based on the matrix resolution of the differential electrical equations of the armature coils with a collector model. This method is well adapted to compare different configurations of armature winding that can be easily implemented with two simple coupling matrices. An experimental validation of current and voltage waveforms is presented as well as an analysis of the losses distribution. The influence of a brush angular displacement on motor performances is also illustrated.
