A mathematical model for the investigation of three-dimensional fields with asymmetric boundaries

Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM), 1967, vol. 9, issue 3, 122-130

Abstract: An ellipsoid model, based on confocal quadrics, was designed and used to assess the feasibility of plotting three dimensional potential fields with asymmetric boundaries, and also to develop the operational techniques of doing so. An analytical solution was available, so that measurements taken with the three dimensional probe, and at fixed positions by means of multiple probes at the boundaries, might be compared.
