Abstract:
On the basis of nuclear reactor simulation, this paper shows that problems, where large variations of certain variables are expected, may be easily implemented on general purpose analog computers without any digital or hybrid extensions. Particular attention is given to the problem of automatic rescaling because it is a basic problem in analog simulation of these types of systems. The described automatic rescaling procedure requires only standard computing components, normally available in G.P. analog computers.
