Brownian motion of an almost spherical drop of viscous fluid and fluctuating hydrodynamics

Yukio Kaneda

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1980, vol. 101, issue 2, 423-430

Abstract: The Brownian motion of an almost spherical drop of viscous fluid is studied based on the equations governing fluctuating hydrodynamics. By assuming the continuities of the velocity and the tangential stress across the interface of the drop, a relation is derived which is similar to the fluctuation dissipation theorem for a rigid particle.
