An alternative stochastic formulation of the itinerant oscillator model

A. Bellemans

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1980, vol. 102, issue 3, 547-553

Abstract: The itinerant oscillator model was introduced by Hill in order to account for the high frequency dielectric absorption. In contrast to the Langevin formulation which has been considered by various authors, we here present an analytic treatment of that model, involving discrete collisions and based on two simple stochastic assumptions.
