On the local density of states for an extended isolated point imperfection -A green function method-

R. Rotthier, L. Scheire and P. Phariseau

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1980, vol. 103, issue 1, 205-212

Abstract: In this paper the Green function method of Goossens and Phariseau for isolated strongly localized imperfections is generalized, in order to take into account the relaxation of the environment of the imperfections. Moreover the established formalism is applicable to the cases of a vacancy, a substitutional, and an interstitial impurity. We also clarify the relationship between Beeby's work and that of Goossens and Phariseau.
