Abstract:
Measurements of the collisional broadening of the Depolarized Rayleigh (DPR) line have been performed for the hydrogen isotopes H2, D2 and HD at various temperatures between 28 K and 293 K. For H2 the dependence of the broadening coefficient on the ortho-para composition has also been investigated. The results are compared with the theoretical calculations based on a distorted wave Born approximation (DWBA) by Coombe and Köhler. Good agreement has been found.
