Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1981, vol. 106, issue 3, 415-442

Abstract: In this paper we present a detailed experimental study of the density dependence of the viscosity of He Ne and Ne Ar mixtures at various compositions. The data are analyzed in terms of a density expansion including a logarithmic contribution whose presence is predicted by the kinetic theory of gases. The composition dependence of the viscosity of the dense gas mixtures is compared with estimated values predicted on the basis of the Enskog-Thorne theory for dense mixtures of gases of hard spheres.
