Abstract:
This is a study of a model consisting of interacting Ising spins (S = 12 and v-dimensional classical spins (v arbitrary but finite) on one- and two-dimensional lattices. The model was introduced by Falk for v=2. For the one-dimensional lattice (open chain) the partition function and the two-spin static correlation functions are calculated exactly, and it is shown that there are no boundary effects. For the two-dimensional model equations are given for the transition temperature and the magnetization.
