Energy balance of crystallization front

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1982, vol. 112, issue 1, 256-264
Abstract:
The crystallization front is studied on a model of a discontinuity surface in continuum. A general equation of the heat conduction is derived and it is shown that relations used when solving the Stefan problem and in the course of the study of the morphological stability are special cases of this general equation. Conclusively the author attempts to interpret the model of a discontinuity surface in terms of three-dimensional mixture.
