Kinetics of crystalline configurations

C.M. Van Baal

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1982, vol. 113, issue 1, 117-125

Abstract: In a previous paper (Physica 000 (1982) 000) macroscopic rate equations for the development of homogeneous short range order were derived from the microscopic master equations for two kinetic Ising models. This work is supplemented here by a treatment of homogeneous long range and antiferromagnetic order. Rate equations for both the short range and the long range order parameters are derived. They comprise earlier theories of long range order by Vineyard and by Kikuchi as approximations and/or special cases.
