Shift operator properties in the groups G2 and R(7)

Abstract:
In order to obtaining additional label-generating operators for the classification of octupolephonon states, a set of shift operators Pkl (k = ± 5,…, 5) in the G2 group and Okl (k = ± 3,…, 3) in the R(7) group, is constructed. Expressions connecting R(3) scalar and non-scalar products of both types of operators are derived. On account of these relations part of the eigenvalue spectrum of the scalar operators O0l and P0l is obtained in closed form.
