Invariant physical fields with gauge freedom

Yvan Saint-Aubin, Luc Vinet and Joël Doneux

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1982, vol. 114, issue 1, 398-402

Abstract: In the context of gauge theories, a field is made invariant to some space-time transformations if it is gauge-equivalent to its image. This note provides examples of both gauge and matter fields which obey such an invariant condition. The gauge group will be SU(2) and isotriplets of scalars and isodoublets of Dirac fields will be considered as typical matter fields.
