Colour symmetry polemics

Abstract:
Using group extension theory it is shown that there is no need to distinguish between P- and Q- as well as between Wp- and Wq-types of symmetry as in a recently introduced classification of colour symmetries. A suitable change of monomorphic section transforms Q-type into P-type and Wq-type into Wp-type. The situation is discussed for the symmetry groups of tensor fields.
