Abstract: The iterative perturbative approach to critical phenomena is applied in EXP approximation to a study of the critical point of a lattice gas model. The iterative relation is studied analytically and also numerically for a finite lattice in the case of single site exclusion with nearest neighbour interaction for a simple cubic and a square lattice. For purpose of comparison this model is also studied in optimized random phase (ORPA) and EXP approximations. We find that the iterative EXP approximation and the non iterated one have the same critical behaviour and this coincides with that of ORPA: all these approximations give spherical model critical phenomena.
