Quantum beats in the two-photon resonance flourescence of a three-level atom

Abstract: The low-frequency modes pertaining to quantum beats in the two-photon resonance fluorescence of a three-level atom in the limit of high photon densities of the pump field is investigated without making the “rotating-wave approximation” in the coupling between the atom and the pump field. A somewhat different spectral function for the low-frequency modes from that predicted before is obtained.
