Abstract:
A generalization of the fluctuating-dissipation theorem is obtained for systems in nonequilibrium steady states whose dynamics is governed by the Fokker-Planck equation. This generalization is given for the case where the property of detailed balance does not hold and the diffusion matrix is an arbitrary function of the state variables. The relation of our results with other work is also discussed.
