Abstract:
Brownian motion in fluids with spin is considered, taking into account that fluid viscosities can depend on frequency (viscoelastic effects). From the short time analysis of the velocity and angular velocity correlation functions one concludes that both the shear and rotational viscosities must be assumed frequency dependent. Some numerical calculations corresponding to a fluid of rough spheres are given.
