On semiclassical approximations to Wigner's phase space function

Abstract:
Semiclassical approximations to Wigner's phase space function are found by working directly in phase space. They are compared with one obtained by Berry, found by working in coordinate space. It is shown that the one of Berry is correct to first order but not to second order.
