Modified Born-Green-Yvon equations for the two-dimensional Coulomb gas

P. Viot

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1985, vol. 131, issue 1, 197-211

Abstract: The anomalous short range behaviour of the correlation functions implies the failure of the standard integral equations like HNC, STLS and BGY for the two-dimensional Coulomb gas. A new class of integral equations is derived which admit solutions up to the collapse temperature. Numerical solutions for one of these generalized equations are presented and analysed.
