Abstract:
A method is proposed for investigating the nonequilibrium fluctuations in an arbitrary system subjected to the influence of an external perturbation. We reformulate Nakano's variation principle in a Liouville (super-) space. An exact formula is obtained for the entropy production of a scattering problem. The formula is a matrix element of the scattering super-operator. An exact formula is also given for a nonlinear nonequilibrium fluctuation-dissipation relation.
