Correlation and nuclear magnetic relaxation times

James McConnell

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1986, vol. 138, issue 3, 367-381

Abstract: The concept of correlation time for intramolecular nuclear magnetic relaxation caused by steady state thermal motion of a liquid is examined, and the relationship between relaxation and correlation times is studied. It is shown that formulae for relaxation times originally derived for spherical molecular models may under certain conditions be applied to other models.
