Abstract:
Using kinetic theory methods we develop systematic expansions in powers of the concentration of impurities (scatterers, super/non-conducting bonds/sites) and apply them to calculate explicity to linear and quadratic order in the concentration, moments of displacement, velodity autocorrelation functions, etc., of random walks on square and simple cubic lattices with site or bond disorder (lattice Lorentz gas, ant and termite models, site and bond percolation).
