Spatial correlations for temperature fluctuations from surface noise

J.M. Rubí, A. Díaz-Guilera and Ll. Torner

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1987, vol. 141, issue 1, 220-232

Abstract: The equal-time or static temperature correlation function from fluctuations originated at a surface is computed. Such fluctuations come from a random heat flux appearing in Newton's law of cooling. The correlation is studied in the real space and for different values of the Nusselt number.
