Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1987, vol. 147, issue 1, 344-367

Abstract: We investigate two specific renormalization transformations and show numerically that size effects on the transformation are exponentially weak. This implies the absence of analytic background of finite size corrections in the thermodynamic critical properties. Similar simplifications do not occur in the temperature dependent corrections in the singular critical properties as following from series expansions. The exponentially weak size corrections are related to the local nature of the renormalization transformation.
