Abstract:
The resonance fluorescence problem of a two-level atom in the presence of a single mode coherent field and a multimode chaotic field is investigated. The effect of interference terms of both fields as well as the non-resonant modes in the chaotic field on the dynamics of the system is considered in our analysis. An asymmetry in the Stark spectrum due to the static light shift is predicted. The absorption spectrum and the intensity-intensity correlation function are also analysed.
