Explicit solution of the nonlinear Vlasov equation using the subdynamics approach

Abstract: The subdynamics method for inhomogeneous collisionless plasmas is briefly reviewed. By means of a diagrammatic approach, this theoretical framework is applied to the study of Vlasov type plasmas. Using the established property of dynamical factorization, the explicit solutions of the nonlinear Vlasov equation are computed. Each term in such an expansion, with respect to the nonlinearities, is obtained directly from the diagrams by means of a compact general formula.
