Dimensional reduction for QED and QCD at high temperature and large distances: New results

Abstract:
The dimensional reductions of QED and QCD (including quarks) in 1 + 3 dimensions to simpler (reduced) theories in the regime of high temperature and large distances are reviewed succinctly. Fermions continue to contribute in that regime, in general. The main subject is a new renormalization group (RG) analysis of both reduced theories. New RG equations are found: their structure is essentially determined by the fermions.
