How dissipation solves the infrared problem in thermal QCD

N.P. Landsman

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1989, vol. 158, issue 1, 200-224

Abstract: The origin of the infrared divergences in naive perturbative quantum chromodynamics at finite temperature is analyzed. To do so, a general strategy for dealing with potentially infrared-sensitive quantum field theories is abstracted from the work of Fröhlich, Morchio and Strocchi on vacuum QED.
