Abstract:
The CP non-conserving part of the gauge field effective action of a left-right assymetric gauge field theory with a non-zero fermion density is computed. To the leading order in the high temperature expansion the result is proportional to the Chern-Simons term for the gauge fields but with an imaginary coefficient. The physical interpretation of this is also discussed.
