On the Boltzmann observable approach in quantum statistical mechanics

Abstract:
It is shown that an appropriately defined many-body quantum mechanical observable for a generalized Boltzmann distribution function is a sound basis for the foundation of quantum statistical mechanics of Boltzmann systems.
